“An expert is a person who has made all the mistakes that can be made in a very narrow field.”
So, what is your niche? Are you applying yourself to a narrow field of endeavor so that you can become an “expert” in it. A lot of people think that to be in a position of authority in their field they have to know everything about that field. However, the truth is no one on earth can know everything about a particular subject.
Sometimes it’s enough to know just a little bit more than the next guy.
Or to know the “right” things.
You know, one time I worked with someone who was very, very intelligent in a particular field of knowledge. He could really dig deep and tell you all sorts of theory and provide you with technical insights. Unfortunately, he could not marshal that knowledge into profitable activity. For all the in depth knowledge that he had, he could not get the job done!
So, being an expert is not necessarily knowing a lot of deep theory.
When building an online business, you need to know how to get people to your offer and turn them into buyers. If you can do that, you’re an expert!
Most people don’t get it.
This week in the membership site, we’re discussing why even though we live in a world filled with almost infinite possibilities, people are still more confused about what to do than ever before.
While this is true, it also opens a great opportunity for you as a marketer and product creator if you can lift yourself out of that confusion and take advantage of people’s inherent desire to end the confusion in their lives.
All the best,
